Cookies and Local Storage

Our website and application use so-called "cookies" and similar local storage technologies (e.g., HTML5 Local Storage). These are small text files stored safely on your device.

  • Technically Necessary Storage: We use cookies and local storage that are technically necessary to provide our core services. This includes maintaining your login session across page reloads (Firebase Auth) and ensuring the security of payment processing and fraud prevention (Stripe). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR / CCPA business purpose.
  • Analytics / Tracking: Optional cookies (e.g., for Firebase Analytics) are only stored on your device with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / opt-in under US privacy laws). You can revoke your consent at any time in the cookie settings.

Server Log Files

The provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files transmitted by your browser (browser type, OS, referrer URL, hostname, time of request, IP address). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

User Feedback and Contact

When you use the in-app feedback button to submit suggestions or reports, your input (message, User ID, optional email) is securely stored in Cloud Firestore to improve our application. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Freemium Usage Tracking

To manage free usage quotas and prevent abuse, we track feature accesses (e.g. Hub Mode, Network Visualizer) linked to your account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

Device Tracking for Fraud Prevention

To prevent unauthorized account sharing, an anonymized Device ID is stored in your browser local storage and temporarily validated on login. It is deleted after 7 days of inactivity. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
